International Affairs

As part of the New Education Policy (NEP)2020, the government has asked universities to expand the global reach of Indian higher education institutions to promote India as a global study destination. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is a strategic link between the University and external stakeholders internationally across a variety of activities. These offices will be one more step in the same direction and would be responsible for academic and research collaborations with foreign institutes, the UGC said.

Offices of International Affairs at Shri JJT University will “act as a liaison body between the foreign students and sponsoring agency”, address grievances of foreign students, facilitate networking, and extend all support to foreign students to adapt to the country. They will also coordinate all matters related to welcoming and supporting foreign students, disseminate information related to the admission process among prospective foreign students, and engage in promotional activities and brand campaigns abroad. OIA will be facilitating the implementation of the internationalization strategy of the University and its constituent community, also Single point contract for registration with FRRO/e-FRRO. International linkages are crucial for driving the agenda of cutting age globally benchmarked academic research; student, faculty and staff outreach; and a broader culture of diversity across the University. OIA also extend all possible help to the foreign student to adapt to the new cultural environment and make their stay in India comfortable and enriching.
