Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Study Centre was set up in 14th April 2023.The centre is associated with Department of Law.
Aim
Aim is to promote the life, works, and ideas of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, a key figure in Indian history who played a pivotal role in the writing of the Indian Constitution and fought for the rights of Dalits (formerly known as Untouchables)
Objectives of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Studies Centre:
To create awareness about Dr. Ambedkar's contributions to Indian society, especially in the areas of social justice, economics, and politics.
To organize seminars, workshops, and lectures on Dr. Ambedkar's thoughts and ideas.
To maintain a library and resource centre with books, articles, and other materials related to Dr. Ambedkar.
To encourage research on Dr. Ambedkar's life and work.
To promote social harmony and understanding between different communities.
To empower marginalized communities.
By studying Dr. Ambedkar's work, students and scholars can gain a deeper understanding of Indian society and the challenges it faces. Dr. Ambedkar's ideas are still relevant today, and his study centres play an important role in promoting social justice and equality in India.
