As social and cultural activities are of paramount importance, Shri JJT University encourages all extra-curricular activities that are both in line with the educational objectives of the university and meet the needs of the students. The university organizes diverse social & cultural activities to provide students a platform where they can strengthen their personal skills and overall development. In order to inculcate the spirit of social and community service amongst students, there is one unit of National Service Scheme (NSS) actively functioning at the university. The NSS unit comprising of 50 seats, under the control of four program coordinators, organizes regular programs/camps, where NSS volunteers undertake social work in and around the university campus.
The university's annual cultural event "SHAMIKA" intends to add wings to the intellect, imagery, and creativity of the students. It aims at dissolving the cultural demarcations and facilitating a new school of thought, where every student think out of the box. Also, there are several clubs actively engaged in providing the necessary infrastructure to facilitate different types of extra-curricular activities.
