About the Department
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was established in the year 2009 in Shri Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala (JJT) University, Jhunjhunu. Our department offers Diploma, B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees.
The department has well equipped Labs as Analog and Digital Communication Engineering Laboratory, Analog and Digital Electronics Laboratory, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory, Control Engineering Laboratory, Electronics Devices and Circuits Laboratory, VLSI Laboratory, Digital Signal Processing Laboratory, Microwave Engineering Laboratory, PCB Laboratory, TV Engineering Laboratory & Computer facility for Lab View and MatLab.
The department has highly educated faculty members having a vast experience in their field. The department has a well-balanced workforce having experience in academics and industries. Students are given education as well as training exposure in order to get placed in highly reputed industries.
Symbiosis between placement cell and the department help the students to achieve the best of the jobs of their careers. Proper industrial interaction is given to the students by organizing national level workshops in the campus.
ELECTRON_NICA and TECHNOFESTA are few of the mega events organized by the department in the past years. In these events eminent personalities from industry and educational institutions were invited to the campus for student’s interaction and guidance. The students had presented their talents in the form of practical projects and papers, which were seen and assessed by the invited personalities.
Exposure as well as training is provided to the students for advanced studies and various guest lecturers and mock campus interviews are conducted time to time to facilitate the students and create awareness.
Industry visits and practical projects are also encouraged by the department in various sectors, students are taken out to industries for practical understanding of the technology. To name a few, visits are made on frequent basis to organizations such as Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited, Jaipur, Pyrotech Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Udaipur.
B.Tech. passed out students find placement as a trainee engineer in various companies and some names are INFOSYS, Tata Consultancy, Wipro Technologies, Accenture, Sutherland, Agilent, Cadence Design System, Aricent, Synopsis, Syntel, Xilinx, Mentor Graphics, Freescale Semiconductor , ST Microelectronics etc.

The vision of the ECE Department is to become a nationally and internationally leading institution of higher learning, building upon the culture and the values of universal science and contemporary education, and a centre of research and education generating the knowledge and the technologies which lay the groundwork in shaping the future in the fields of electronics & communication engineering.
Mission
The mission of the ECE Department is to provide education for those students who are able to compete internationally, able to produce creative solutions to the society's needs, conscious to the universal moral values, adherent to the professional ethical code, and to generate and disseminate knowledge and technologies essential to the local and global needs in the field of electronics & communication engineering.
Educational Objectives
The educational objectives of the Programs of the ECE Department are to graduate individuals:
Having strong background in basic science and basic mathematics and able to use these tools in their own engineering field,
Able to pinpoint and define engineering problems in the fields of electronics & communication engineering,

Teaching Methodology
The teaching methodology adopted at Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is in complete synergy with the latest and ever evolving market challenges and trends. We follow highly interactive, student centric and innovative teaching methodologies that emphasize on learning by experimenting and experiencing to groom future technical leaders and managers. These include case studies, Audio-visual presentations, group discussions, role-plays, brainstorming industrial visits, special lectures from experts from the corporate, symposia, seminars, projects and quizzes. Adequate focus is given on enhancing analytical powers, communicational skills; extra stress is given to develop problem solving strategies and team spirit. A rich repertoire of the best industry professionals and highly competent faculty members, thrust is more towards the practical orientation backed with a thorough theoretical base
Industry Relevant Curriculum
We have conducting development programs in the technologies relevant to the industry for their adoption and proliferation in to the academia. For this purpose linkages have been established with twenty plus industry partners.
Applied & Project Based Learning
Applied learning is a hallmark of all teaching at Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, We believe that the best way to learn is by “doing” and that's why we emphasize a hands-on approach. We lay stress on project based learning.
Our Department comprises of spacious laboratories, seminar, lecture and tutorial rooms. LCD multimedia projectors and AV systems are generally employed in teaching aid, which make learning more interactive & fruitful which make our students to think and analyze what they learn.
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering strives to impart knowledge, skills, attitudes and values with robust focus on analytical and integrative skills, technical and functional skills and ethical leadership.
Culture and Academic Activities
ECE Department participate in various Cultural and Academic Activities like Seminars, Conferences, Curriculum Development, Laboratory Development, Resource Materials, Students Assessment and Evaluation, Extra-curricular activities as a part of Departmental Association, Guidance to Students, Counselling, Continuing Education, Industry-institute Interaction, Consultancy Services etc. apart from Teaching and Research.
In accordance with the Lesson Plans, syllabus of all subjects is covered by Faculty in time. Electives are offered to Students per their interest and choice. In every Subject, Extra Topics are also covered over and above the Curriculum as per Industrial Needs and latest Technical Developments. Students of ECE attain very high Pass Percentage every year.
Emphasis is also given to the Co and Extra-curricular activities of students especially for Communication Skills, Soft Skills and Personality Development Lectures through Seminars, Group Discussions, Quiz and Paper Presentations.
ECE Department has 8 well established Laboratories. They are very spacious and are 100% equipped as per prescribed syllabus. Every Lab also has Special and Additional Equipment on which Students are trained in Latest Developments. ECE Department has its own Computer Center with 32 systems and wi-fi internet access. Special Software packages like PSPICE, MATLAB, VHDL, XILINX, MULTISIM, MODELSIM, RATIONAL, ROSE, KIEL are made available to Students .
Digital Library and DELNET facilities are available to Faculty and Staff. They have on-line access to IEEE, ACM Journals and Magazines in Central Library, which is completely automated. ECE Departmental Library has excellent collection of books, journals and magazines with about 912 books, 8 National and 14 International Journals, university Question Papers, Model Question Papers, Student Project Reports, Educational CDs and Hand Books for the benefit of ECE Faculty and Students.
All Students have laptops right from first year and use them on a wi-fi network for on-line assignments and home work. ECE Department follows Modern Teaching Methods in addition to Conventional Lecture Methods. Faculty uses LCD and OHP Projectors for their teaching. Audio-Visual facilities also are available to show instructional videos.
ECE Department has established excellent interaction with various industries through the Industry Relations and Placement Department (IRP) covering activities like Industrial Visits for Students, Industrial Training for Students, Faculty and Staff, Guest Lectures, Live Projects etc. ECE Department has signed MOU’s notably with ICEM, Mumbai and a few others to promote these activities.

The faculties of Electronics Department are actively participating in seminars and project which have been to the student which are the part of their curriculum and teaching is performed on overhead projector and video projector.
