The Institute of Pharmacy was established in the university with the mission to advance the pharmaceutical sciences by performing drug-related research and research-based teaching. The field of pharmacy is interdisciplinary by nature hence; the institute equips the graduates with advanced professional knowledge by amalgamating the knowledge of pharmaceutical, physical, chemical, biological and clinical sciences. To provide a platform for excellence in academics and research, the institute offers several programs viz. D.Pharma, B.Pharma, and Ph.D. A knowledgeful and stress-free environment is provided to researches for performing advanced path-breaking research. B-Programme Outcomes (POs)

 

1-Pharmacy Knowledge: Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioral, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices.

 

2-Planning Abilities: Demonstrate effective planning abilities including time management, resource management, delegation skills and organizational skills. Develop and implement plans and organize work to meet deadlines.

 

3-Problem analysis: Utilize the principles of scientific enquiry, thinking analytically, clearly and critically, while solving problems and making decisions during daily practice. Find, analyze, evaluate and apply information systematically and shall make defensible decisions.

 

4-Modern tool usage: Learn, select, and apply appropriate methods and procedures, resources, and modern pharmacy-related computing tools with an understanding of the limitations.

 

5-Leadership skills: Understand and consider the human reaction to change, motivation issues, leadership and team-building when planning changes required for fulfillment of practice, professional and societal responsibilities. Assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles when appropriate to facilitate improvement in health and well-being.

C-Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

­1-Perform research on various medical aspects and implement the Pharmaceutical knowledge in formulating the best suitable dosage form to provide high quality medicines to the society.

2-Render the services to the public by providing patient centric effective treatments to curb the therapeutic issues with the required medicines and explain the effects of the drugs by analyzing the scientific literature for improving their health and well-being.

OBJECTIVE

  • The main objective of the institute is to produce graduates who are recognized for their personal initiatives and professional excellence in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The institute also aims to develop cost-effective technology to support the pharmaceutical industry.
